Three nights in Ogunquit with our four year old

We are spending three nights in Ogunquit with our four year old daughter and would like some suggestions for things to do and and good local choices for dinner. Thanks

She%26#39;ll love the beach! As far as dinner goes, Mainiax on Route One gets a lot of wonderful reviews as a good place for kids.

I%26#39;ve been going to Ogunquit since I was 2 and I now go with my children, aged 4 %26amp; 6 -- I have never done any of the kid%26#39;s ';attraction'; activities because kids are just so completely happy at the beach, literally from dawn to dusk. We are at the beach as long as its not raining -- even if its cool, we just put on sweatpants %26amp; sweatshirts! As far as restaurants go, there%26#39;s a great little pizza place right in town. The Lobster Shack in Perkins Cove is wonderful -- it really is a tiny, one room shack with what is probably the freshest lobster you%26#39;ll find, etc. Barnacle Billy%26#39;s is a classic. Most of the restaurants have options for kids. Vinnie%26#39;s is very kid friendly, but the food isn%26#39;t great. The Ogunquit Lobster Pound is excellent %26amp; fun -- huge tank of live lobsters out front %26amp; the kids love it. Amore is a great breakfast/brunch place. You%26#39;ll have a great time whatever you do!

I too have been going since I was a young child. Now I am 27 and bring my own kids annually.

The ';trolley'; is a hassle free fun way to get from place to place and my son - he loves trains so he looks forward to that. ';Yummies';- that is an awesome candy store on your way that we never forget to stop.

We are crazy over haddock and clam chowder - Jakes is very good if you like informal %26amp; small and they have ice cream too and not too crowded. I love ';Mikes Clam Shack'; - I think everyone does as the wait is extreme and it is packed.

There is a nice scenic blacktop walking trail on the edge of the rocks - ';Marginal Way in Perkins Cove';. I used to walk it then and still do now, there is some easy (yet rocky) slopes to climb down by the shore and I always find crabs and snails and collect neat washed stones - so fun for kids to explore that stuff but the sandy beaches usually lack the cool creatures - sea urchins are really neat!

';Whale watching'; is a childhood memory of mine from there, and a ';deep sea fishing charter'; is one my husband did with his parents when he was little. I haven%26#39;t done anything on the sea w/ mine yet.

Depending on where we stay we do our own lobster in the pot sometimes..

Ogunquit has such whimsy little stores - your sure to find cute things for your daughter as souveniers.
