My wife, myself and our 19 year old son will be in Bar Harbor Monday and Tuesday July 23 %26amp; 24. I have business meetings untill noon both days. Can anybody recommend things to do in the afternoon? I am handicapped and have difficulty walking, so hiking, kayaking and such are not an option.
Thank you
Bar Harbor from Noon to 6 PM
There are two things, one on the land and the other on the water, that might appeal to you.
Oli%26#39;s Trolley %26lt;http://www.acadiaislandtours.com/%26gt; provides narrated tours of the village and the park, including a visit to the summit of Cadillac.
Lulu%26#39;s Lobster Boat %26lt;http://www.lululobsterboat.com/%26gt; provides much the same sort of thing on the water.

Do they still do Carriage Rides on the Carriage Roads? If so, I think this would be a great non-walking way to spend an early evening. May be too hot though.
If not on the trolley, do drive to Cadiallac Mountain. Also, just a drive around the park Road is pretty. Can check out some of the other small towns.
It%26#39;s hard to beat the views from the Jordan Pond House. Stop by for lunch or dinner, or just for popovers and tea on the lawn.
Just came back from BH and while there, they had on the Acadia Channel on t.v., that the carriage tours now have a handicap assessible ride. So if you are in a wheelchair they can put it right on. If not, it is kinda a big step up onto the regular carriage. They have a step stool and can give you a boost. My mother in law had a knee injury and couldn%26#39;t walk much, and was able to do the carriage ride with the boost:). We took the one to the Pond House, so with that it%26#39;s like you are getting two for one!
Thanks for all the suggestions everyone.
