Royal Anchor??

Has anyone stayed at the Royal Anchor? What are your thoughts?

Royal Anchor??

It%26#39;s within seconds from the pier and all the attractions...But, it%26#39;s across the street from the beach.....

When I was staying at the Beachwood and Edgewater, I saw lots of young people there, raising heck.

I mean, all you have to do is walk across the street to get to the beach and you can see the water from a second floor room.

Again, you wouldn%26#39;t have to drive anywhere, just walk to all the attractions.

Royal Anchor??

We%26#39;re going to stay at the royal anchor inn next week. My

understanding is that it%26#39;s about 3/4 mile from the pier, on

east grand, right on the beach. It was rated very well on this

site.

East Grande is across the street from the beach...West Grande is beach side....I stayed on West Grande at the Beachwood and Edgewater, across from the Royal Anchor.

You just have to walk across the street and through a parking lot to get to the beach....It is seconds from the pier and all the attractions.

There%26#39;s a big pool right in front of the hotel, facing the street.

It%26#39;s an older place...and it seems like there were a lot of young people there.

I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll have a great time. There%26#39;s so much to do up there and it%26#39;s all within walking distance.

Enjoy

I apologize, I was WRONG.

The Royal Anchor was not what I was thinking of.....It sounded like the place across the street from where I stayed.

The east and west must change.....We stayed at the Edgewater and Beachwood on West, right next to the amusements.

Sorry.........the place looks beautiful, have a great time!

I was thinking of the Flagship Motel....boy, that wasn%26#39;t even close.

Again sorry!

East Grand is beach side and heads to Pine Point in Scarborough. West Grand is beach side and heads to Ocean Park and Saco%26#39;s Ferry beach. The Royal Anchor is on East Grand and is about a mile from the square.

I know, I finally figured that out! We just stayed on West Grande at the Wave%26#39;s resort and didn%26#39;t like it at all.....We tried to get in the Edgewater, but, they were all booked.

I like to stay close to the pier and all the attractions!

I just love it up there.

I grew up on OOB and can%26#39;t get enough of it!! Although I go to the beach in Ocean Park, because of the parking available, I love the beach on East Grand. Better for kids because it is flatter. The majority of better motels seem to be on the East Grand side as well.

I agree about the beach....There was such a drop, that when you tried to walk down to the water, you almost fell. I did see a lot of people go down! The water comes up so far, the beach is really eroding. (sp)

When I stayed at the Edgewater and Beachwood the beach was fine.

Lucky you, living up there!
